Surf Glass was brought in to complete a full window replacement at a public school in Westchester, NY—an essential upgrade focused on improving energy efficiency, comfort, and most importantly, safety. The building’s original windows had become worn over time, with many units showing visible signs of cracking, seal failure, and structural fatigue. These conditions not only compromised the building’s insulation but also posed potential safety concerns, especially in a space designed for children.

Over the course of this project, our team replaced nearly 200 windows—each one custom-fabricated to fit within the school’s existing architectural frames. This approach allowed us to retain the structure’s original character while introducing high-performance, double-pane insulated glass for improved temperature regulation, noise reduction, and long-term durability. Most importantly, the upgrade significantly increased the safety and comfort of the learning environment.

To ensure zero disruption to the school’s daily operations, we worked exclusively after hours and on weekends. The entire project was completed within a four-week window, with every work session carefully coordinated and each area left clean, secure, and ready for use by the next morning. Our team executed the installation with a strong focus on organization, precision, and speed—always putting student safety and school functionality first.

Throughout the project, we maintained close communication with the school’s administration and facilities team, providing updates, answering questions, and staying fully aligned with their goals and schedule.
